Senior Accountant

Our client is delivering the Rail Baltica international infrastructure project in Riga and is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join the team. The company provides a full range of services, from project development and management to maintenance and consulting - ensuring high quality and safety standards.

What we expect from you:

• Educational background in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience, preferably in construction or engineering companies.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and native Latvian (spoken and written) is mandatory.
• Advanced Excel knowledge and experience with ERP systems.
• Experience in the full accounting cycle.
• General accounting, invoicing, and closing management.
• Experience in tax filing (VAT, CIT...).
• Valued: experience as an administrative/accounting manager (more than financial).
• Organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to international work environments.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Invoice accounting and book keeping entries.
• Document management and financial record keeping.
• Communication and coordination with suppliers and clients.
• Tax comparison and compliance monitoring.
• Preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and period-end closings.
• Support with tax filings, payroll, and social security processes, in coordination with local advisors.
